I bought this app a couple of months back and I hate the fact that it is littered with adds. LIke many people I dont feel as though I got what I paid for. In my opinion there are many better coctail applications (many for free!)

This app is basic, functional, and creative. Keep up the great work Pocket Cocktails.

Excellent app--ads are fairly discrete... Highly creative with beautiful interface and stunning photography... My hope is theyll gradually expand their recipes over time, particularly regarding non-vodka containing concoctions--a little history blurb on each drink (not just the beer section) would add immensely. Would also include a reverse directory--ie., what can I make given what I have on hand... s for now!

This is a great cocktail app. It has an extremely unique, clean and easy interface and a large data base of drinks. It is my favorite mostly because of the frequent updates with seasonal drinks. I have had so much fun experimenting with all the holiday updates; I so look forward to more! Keep em coming and thanks so much for the super app and the yummy drinks!

very shady. I paid for this app, and I guess the devs decided theyd make more money with a free, ad-supported version. so now, my paid program has turned into an ad for gray goose, and the program is now free. very bad business. Ill never support these guys again.

Yeah, I paid for this app and now get ads, but Ill forgive you if youll add a way for us to add our own recipes. For example this months More magazine had several great new cocktails that I would like to add to my iTouch. Instead of adding a note page, it would be nice to keep all cocktails in your app. Thanks!

I absolutely love how every time there is an update the app loses my favorites. Thanks for that. Not at all annoying and making me want to use a different app. Not. This is ridiculous.

This is a good app and has most of the drinks that I need. What would give it 5 stars is the ability to save your own cocktail recipes on the UI. Please do give us this ability in the next update. I had to downgrade my rating. 1.1 came out and still has no method to save your own recipe within the app. There are several recipes that are not here, and several adaptations to other drinks (bloody Mary) that I would like to have the ability to save here. When I can do that, I will give it 5 stars. Please do this in the next update.

Great app. Lots of shooters with simple recipes for quick searching. Simple and effective way to decide on the drink of the evening.

I love this app! It has really great recipes, easy-to-understand explanations on how to make them, plus they taste amazing. Like I said, I got it when it first came out when they were giving it for free and I was kind of skeptical but now Im glad I got it, you should consider buying this, only a dollar for the greatest drink recipes out there.

This app enhances my knowledge on drinks and wines. Its is very informative and easy to use. Great for adding new drinks to my menu.

When you want to try something new, this is the app for you. When the bartender is a clueless neophyte, this is the app for you. When entertaining guests and looking to impress and surprise with your bartending prowess, this is the app for you. Basically, if youre going out for a night on the town and have either an iPhone or iPod Touch, make sure you have this app with you. It includes recipies and ingredients when you order something and the barkeep just gives you a blank stare, a randomizer for when youre feeling lucky, and even a sommelier feature for the more sophisticated. At $1, this is an app all users over the age of 21 should have.

So much better than the "Bartender" app by Helmes Innovations. So much better! I can actually find drinks Im looking for by name, like "Candy Cane Martini". Plus, the display and graphics put that other app to shame! This is the one you want.

Okay, its appearance is pretty but closely examine the contents: no recipe for an ordinary Margarita. I mean really: a staple of cocktail drinkers everywhere....not present here. Need I say more?

I love this app. It has everything I need, pics, ingredients, etc. Im having so much fun entertaining with this app.

You know, I am glad I re-evaluate this app..Its solid, and I actually learned a couple classics and oddities (the Mayan is trippy, for instance...) I was one of those people who originally paid, then shouted when the GGoos ads appeared... They were removed a while ago from my copy, so I am calm now. But, lately, I have been re-using this app, and the more recent updates fixed an obvious flaw: Ingredients and Recipe need to be on same page. Fixed. And the photos are studio quality shots, and help to remind you of traditional presentations, garnishes, glass shapes, etc. The Sommelier and Wine sections are weak points, but I forgive it because this app was sold to me as a pocket bartender guide, and darned if I havent used it quite a bit, afterall.. I resubmit my ratings to 4.25/5 p.s. some classic drinks are listed under their variants: for instance, Margarita is listed under Lime Margarita and Raspberry Margarita, etc, etc...

This app is great.. It has a bunch of cocktails, Tru it needs to be a bit streamlined regarding recipe/picture interface, but its a great all around app!!

The photos and directions are great for a lot of classic cocktails. For that I love the app. However, I have been making some more obscure things and even cooking up a few of my own. There is no ability to add any new cocktails so you are stranded with whatever they have elected to add. Come on, we need the ability to add our own cocktails. Even an XL file with directions, ingredients, and a link to a photo would be good. Without this I will be looking for a new app.
